Acheivements: The Centre was declared the Best Centre for the period 1997 to 2004. The Centre continues to produce large number of programmes - often above quota assigned - year after year. This Centre has received the largest number of awards so far.

Any other special feature: This Centre continues to telecast Bengali programmes on DD-7 without any interruption since 1999. This telecast is four times a week (thrice at 9.30 am and on Saturdays at 4.30pm)
